Browns of Harborne / Birmingham
A digital presence worthy of the business behind it.
Browns of Harborne needed a current, coherent online home that reflected its craft, made key information easier to find and connected the website, shop and wider digital presence.
The business
A traditional family butcher serving Harborne since 1938.
Browns of Harborne has built its reputation around carefully sourced produce, skilled butchery and personal service. The business serves local households as well as respected restaurants across Harborne and Birmingham.
Its previous website was no longer being maintained and did not reliably represent current products, prices or the character of the shop. The wider digital presence also needed a more consistent foundation.
The challenge
A respected local business was being represented by an outdated digital experience.
Outdated website
Older content and an unmaintained structure made it harder to keep products, prices and customer information current.
Unclear discovery
The site needed stronger structure and locally relevant content to help customers understand what Browns offers in Harborne.
Disconnected channels
Website, social profiles and business listings needed consistent descriptions, links and visual presentation.
Online ordering
The existing shop needed a clearer place within the customer journey and a presentation aligned with the renewed brand.
The solution
A joined-up customer journey, built around the real character of Browns.
Rogue Sparrow Digital rebuilt the website with a stronger visual identity, clearer service and product pathways, locally relevant copy and dedicated content for the people, heritage and sourcing behind the business.
The online shop was improved within the same experience. Social profiles were rationalised through Meta Business Suite, core business descriptions and links were aligned, and the Google Business Profile was refreshed so customers encountered a more consistent business wherever they started.
